About Jessica Lareau

I’m a licensed therapist in Massachusetts with 17 years of professional experience, and I’ve had the privilege of working with people from many different backgrounds and walks of life. For more than six years, I worked at McLean Hospital—the #1 psychiatric hospital in the country—where I worked in almost every program across the hospital. This gave me the opportunity to work with a wide range of mental health concerns, as well as to support families navigating the challenges of having a loved one struggling with mental health. My experience has also taken me beyond the traditional clinical setting. I’ve worked as a therapist on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation in Montana and in Cape Town, South Africa. These experiences have shaped the way I approach therapy and deepened my belief that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to healing. I have experience helping clients work through anxiety, stress, depression, relationship challenges, addiction, grief, finding purpose, and other life transitions. Most importantly, I believe you are the expert on your own story. My role is to help you better understand yourself, draw on the strengths you already have, and find ways to move through the things that are getting in your way. Reaching out for support can be a vulnerable step, and I don’t take that lightly. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply know that you want something in your life to change, I’m here to meet you where you are. Together, we can work toward creating a life that feels more fulfilling, meaningful, and genuinely your own.
