About Jonathan Mills

Taking the step to reach out for therapy often comes during a personal crisis or a feeling that life simply isn't working as well as it could. Recognizing that you need a shift takes courage, and finding the right support shouldn't feel like another obstacle. For the past 17 years, I have worked in the mental health field, with a deep focus on supporting active-duty military members, veterans, and their families. That experience has shaped my belief that real healing happens in a grounded, collaborative space where you are heard and respected. No matter your issue we can work together to map out a path that works for you. I have been a fully licensed clinician for the past 4 years. I don’t have magical powers, and I won't pretend to have all the answers for your life. What I bring to the table is standard-of-care clinical training, nearly two decades of hands-on experience, and a genuine commitment to helping you find your way forward. My role isn't to tell you what to do; it’s to help you navigate where you are. I ask targeted questions and listen deeply to understand your unique situation. You remain in the driver's seat. We look at the options together, but you determine what is best for your life. I aim to create an environment where you can speak candidly, drop the weight you've been carrying, and figure out your next steps without judgment. I make therapy as easy as possible, offering online appointments evenings and weekends to fit around your work and life schedule. I prefer to take a client/session led approach. Meaning that if we are discussing or working on something and I think something will benefit you or increase insight I will work it in and see how you feel about the approach. Think of it like being in a maze: When you're inside, it's frustrating, overwhelming, and hard to see past the next wall. My job is to step back with you and look at the maze from above. From that perspective, we can map out the pathways together, giving you the clarity to make thoughtful, intentional decisions rather than purely emotional ones.
