About Keisha Dennis

Hello, and welcome. I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with experience helping adults navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and loss, relationship challenges, major life transitions, and periods of feeling overwhelmed or stuck. My clinical experience includes working with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds, with particular experience supporting service members, veterans, military families, and individuals who have experienced trauma or significant life changes. I also have experience working with concerns related to PTSD, OCD and anxiety, emotional regulation, self-esteem, family and relationship stress, and recovery. My approach to therapy is supportive, collaborative, and practical. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel heard and respected, but also a place where you can develop concrete skills and make meaningful changes in your life. I work with clients to identify patterns that may no longer be serving them, understand how past experiences influence the present, and develop healthier ways of coping, communicating, and moving forward. Depending on your needs, I incorporate evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), trauma-informed care, solution-focused strategies, and skills drawn from EMDR and other trauma-focused approaches. I understand that reaching out for therapy can sometimes feel uncomfortable, particularly when you are accustomed to handling things on your own. You do not need to have everything figured out before beginning therapy. We can start with where you are today and work together to determine what you would like to change. Whether you are working through something from your past, adjusting to a new chapter in your life, struggling in your relationships, or simply realizing that the way you have been coping is no longer working, I would be honored to support you in taking the next steps toward the life you want.
