Mariama Sandifer

I spent 14 years in public schools as a nationally certified school counselor, working with young people and families navigating everything from academic stress to trauma and family upheaval. That experience taught me how to recognize each person's unique strengths and meet them where they are. Now, as a Licensed Professional Counselor and Approved Clinical Supervisor, I bring that same collaborative, strengths-based approach to my individual counseling practice. I work with children, teenagers, young adults, and adults across a wide range of challenges—anxiety, relationship issues, anger management, adoption-related concerns, trauma, career transitions, and more. I primarily use solution-focused and cognitive behavioral approaches, always grounded in respect and genuine partnership. My goal is to create a supportive space where you feel heard and equipped with practical tools to move toward the life you want.
