About Meghan Quinlan-Ilich

I believe in a person’s ability to develop and grow, become autonomous and authentic. I utilize different techniques and approaches to meet my clients’ need in order to help them find success in therapy. Specifically, I utilize a combination of Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Family Dynamics and Person Centered Therapy to create a treatment outline that will best fit my clients’ needs. I have experience working with individuals, couples and families on issues related to addiction, infidelity and trust, self esteem, depression, anxiety, life changes, divorce, identifying goals, grief and loss as well as caregiver stress and elder adult issues and transitions. I graduated from Centenary University in Hackettstown, NJ with a Master’s of Arts in Clinical Counseling. I also received a Master’s of Science in Addictions Counseling from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ. Through my internships and post graduate work I have been involved with traditional outpatient care as well as higher levels of care such as Intensive Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization. My approach is warm and interactive, I believe in asking thoughtful questions that cause clients to think and look deeper. I also inquire about my clients’ beliefs and background to get a better picture of who they are and what shaped them. It also allows me to be sensitive and respectful of cultural needs and differences. I respond to messages Mondays between the hours of 10am-8pm but please allow time because I may not be able to respond immediately. I have some open sessions available in my schedule but I can also discuss other availability.

“Meghan is amazing! She hops right into the first session with support from whatever angle you need. She’s a great listener and is able to learn very quickly about you and how to best support you in each session individually as well as overall!”

“Very nice and gives good advice we haven’t been talking for long but our very first session she had already revealed something about myself that I didn’t understand and I really appreciate that. She’s very kind to talk to you as well. ”

“She is very patient with me. Understands and remembers all my issues. I look forward to our meetings. ”

“Meghan is so sweet and validating. She can pull the need or value you’re missing seemingly out of a hat! She has such a good sense of listening and responding and personally I feel so heard and seen by her. Very grateful to have found someone so lovely and strong and knowledgeable. ”

“I have been working with Meghan a few weeks now and I always look forward to the next appointment. She listens very thoroughly and always knows exactly what to say to help me see things outside of my anxiety and outside of my overthinking. We do video calls and chats- she reads my journal entries and such . she always responds and pays attention. So glad to have matched with her! ”

“I love Meghan. She provides such unbiased, eagle eyed, advice and help. She also checks in on me when I forget to schedule appointments and I’m grateful for that bc sometimes it’s anxiety induced. Meghan is also super professional and amicable and I got to say, my most favorite therapist to date. ”

“Meghan is great. She is easy to talk to and gives things to explore or think about that I would never have thought of. So glad to have her. ”

“It took awhile to find the right therapist for me, but meghan is the best and i am so glad i found her! ”

“She has helped me navigate the different waves, the highs and lows of post partum relationship issues. Has been instrumental in my growth as a woman not just as a mother or wife. ”

“Meghan is incredibly intuitive, asks key questions that make me think and consider aspects of myself and my life in ways I hadn't thought about before. I can feel Meghan's genuine desire to help me and her knowledge on how to do so is clear by her input and suggestions. ”
