About Michele Markulec
I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief, major life transitions, relationship difficulties, burnout, caregiver stress, low self-esteem, and trauma-related concerns. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, stuck in patterns of overthinking, or unsure how to move forward after a difficult season of life.
My approach is warm, practical, and collaborative. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and other evidence-informed strategies to help clients better understand their thoughts and emotions, develop healthier coping skills, and make meaningful changes in their daily lives.
I also enjoy working with couples who are struggling with communication, recurring conflict, emotional distance, or feeling disconnected from one another. I have completed Gottman Method Level 2 training and use Gottman-informed strategies to help couples strengthen communication and rebuild connection without focusing on blame or taking sides.
I have a particular interest in grief, trauma, and PTSD and am continuing advanced training in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), an evidence-based treatment commonly used for PTSD.
My goal is to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, gain clarity, and develop practical tools for moving forward. Whether you are coping with anxiety or depression, grieving a loss, adjusting to a major life change, or trying to improve an important relationship, we can work together toward changes that feel realistic and meaningful.
