About Sarah Hall

Hi there! Welcome to the first step in making a change in your life! My name is Sarah Hall and I am a licensed professional counselor (LPC) in the state of Missouri. I have ten years of clinical experience working both in private practice and clinical agency settings. I have great experience working with children, teens, adults, and even families. I have worked with clients on a variety of issues, include anxiety, behavioral issues, grief, trauma, and mood disorders. I have worked with foster care youth, traumatized clients, non-verbal clients, and couples. I received my B.A. in psychology from the University of Missouri and my M.Ed. from Stephens College. Personally, I am a mother, wife/partner, daughter, dog mom, and social worker full time. Better Help is my side hustle! I enjoy exercising and have a dog named Winston. I am a Swiftie therapist, as well! My therapeutic style is solution and present focused. I have experience using a variety of therapeutic approaches based on my client's preferences, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT). My approach is to be warm, honest, and respectful with all of my clients, while respecting boundaries of my clients as well as multicultural differences. I look forward to working with you and helping find joy in life!

“Best therapist! Recommended to everyone reading this :)”

“She is a very understanding person and is attentive even to the little things that most people may miss… She gives good feedback and takes steps to give relevant ‘homework’! She’s awesome!!!”

“Best therapist! As long as she’s working, I’ll be her client!”

“I am happy that Better Help matched me with Sarah. I was a little curious and concerned how they choose before I started my therapy sessions. I've been mismached with the wrong therapist before and it's not a good time. Sarah is the perfect fit for me! Sarah has a way of making me feel at ease and comfortable. I also like the way that she can draw me out of my train of thought to answer questions that make me think deeper. She challenges me to look beyond the top layer and search for what it is I really want/need. Then there are the days that she just lets me ramble, because I need to say my thoughts out loud. On those days she lets me know that it's okay and I don't have to fit into "what i think I should be saying". Best thing about Sarah is, I feel like she supports me when I need my handheld and it's okay to need that from another person. I am extremely happy with my experience with Better Help, I am even happier with my Therapist Sarah”

“I enjoy speaking with Sarah. She creates a space for all thoughts and feelings and poses insightful questions that help me further understand my issues. I find her to be kind, helpful, and supportive. I've never felt so comfortable with therapy before, and that is because of Sarah.”

“I’ve worked with Sarah for about a month now, and she’s been amazing. No matter what we talk about she always makes me feel seen and that I’m not the only one. She jokes around sometimes and it makes it seems like she’s an actual person like everyone else. I would highly recommend her!”

“I’ve been doing therapy w/ Sarah for about 3 years now. She’s been the best therapist I’ve ever had. I recommend her to everyone I know. Thank you, Sarah. You’re amazing! ”
