About Ysanda Prince
Sometimes we know something needs to change, but we’re not quite sure where to start. Other times, we know exactly what the problem is; we just need a safe place to sort through it and someone who can help us figure out what comes next.
I’m Ysanda Prince, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, though I go by Sandy. My approach to therapy is compassionate, straightforward, and practical. I want you to feel heard and supported, but I also believe therapy should help you make meaningful progress. Together, we will look beyond the immediate problem to better understand the patterns, experiences, relationships, and circumstances that may be influencing how you think, feel, and respond.
I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, relationship concerns, stress, self-esteem concerns, and major life transitions. Whether you’re navigating conflict, communication difficulties, changing relationship dynamics, or trying to better understand yourself, therapy can provide a space to gain clarity and develop healthier ways of connecting with yourself and others.
My background in medical and psychiatric social work includes working with veterans and adults navigating complex mental health concerns, medical challenges, changes in independence, and difficult life transitions. This experience has given me a strong understanding of how emotional well-being can be affected by real-life pressures such as financial stress, changing roles, relationship challenges, and uncertainty about the future.
I also understand personally that navigating challenges, adapting to change, and advocating for yourself are not always easy. As someone who is hard of hearing and has a speech difference, I bring both professional knowledge and lived experience into my understanding of resilience, self-advocacy, and finding your way forward.
You can expect me to listen without judgment, ask thoughtful questions, challenge you when it may be helpful, and work with you to identify realistic strategies that fit your life. I’m not here to tell you who you should be or what your life should look like. My role is to help you better understand yourself, recognize what may be keeping you stuck, and build the confidence and skills to make choices that feel right for you.
Therapy is a space for real people dealing with real life. You don’t have to show up as a perfect version of yourself. Bring your experiences, your questions, and whatever challenges you’re facing. We’ll begin there and work toward what matters most to you.
