Dr. Carol Taylor Smith

I am licensed in Louisiana with 15 years of professional work experience. I have experience in helping clients with stress, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, life changes, grief and loss, and substance use. I understand that adults often face complex emotional relational and life challenges that require compassion, patience, and a nonjudgemental approach. In addition, I am able to listen attentively, build trusting therapeutic relationships, and provide a safe environment where clients can openly express their thoughts and feelings, which can be shared without fear of judgement. I recognize the importance of meeting each individual where they are and helping them identify their strengths, develop effective coping strategies, and work toward meaningful personal goals. My ability to demonstrate empathy, respect diverse experiences, and support clients through difficult transitions would allow me to help clients gain insight, improve emotional well-being, and make positive changes in their lives.
