About Dr. Chinell Collins

Hello, My name is Chinell Collins. I am a licensed professional counselor in Pennsylvania, and have been providing counseling services to a diverse population for over a decade. I have spent many years working with individuals who suffer from various addictions (drug and alcohol, food, relational, etc.), trauma, low self-esteem, depression, anxiety and adjustment disorder. I also have experience working with couples and families. I enjoy partnering with clients in order to assist them in achieving their personal goals. I am supportive and I am a motivator. Seeing my clients experience a life that brings them happiness and meaning, truly gives me joy. I am excited to walk with you on your personal journey. My main therapeutic approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, however, I like to integrate Choice Theory, Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Person-Centered and Positive Psychology techniques as needed. I also utilize Motivational Interviewing. Aside from my professional experience, I have a lot of volunteer experience working with the homeless population. I partner along side those who feel hopeless and helpless, and not only work with them to achieve their overall goals, but also support them in finding hope and happiness in the process. I know it can be very difficult to ask for help, but today you can take the first step towards the rest of you life. Reach out to me today.

She has a matter of fact way of sharing her expertise while giving real life and relatable examples to help me see where I can make improvements with how I manage stress and communicate in my relationships. “Dr Collin’s is exceptional. I very much enjoyed my time with her. She’s very good at meeting people where they are in their journey. She also has a lot of knowledge. ”

“Dr. Collins is warm and relatable, which really helps make tough conversations feel a little easier. She does a great job of making sure both me and my partner feel heard, without ever taking sides. It feels like she genuinely wants us to understand each other, not just get through the session. We’ve had some hard talks, but her presence makes them feel manageable — and that matters a lot.”

“Very insightful and personal, will lean towards the person who is most vocal in the session chats to get to the root of issues. The more she knows the better, but will be fair and also bring matters of importance from the other person. She is lighthearted, responsive, cares about people & reliable. I appreciate her services.”
