“I have been working with Velma for a couple of years now, and I genuinely cannot say enough good things about her. She has a way of truly understanding me and knowing what I need, even when I probably don’t want to hear it. What I appreciate most is the balance she brings to our sessions. She is a real human being, a woman of faith, compassionate and caring, but she also holds firm professional boundaries and isn’t afraid to tell me the truth. In fact, she has a signature phrase: “You’re not going to like this, but…” 😂 And she’s usually right. I may not love hearing it in the moment, but I hear her, I reflect on it, and I know she is saying it because she genuinely wants the best for me. Velma has never crossed a professional boundary, but she has become such a meaningful mentor and mother-figure in my life—someone I respect, look up to, and trust deeply. And she has become a household name in my life too. 😂 All of my friends and family know exactly who Velma is because whenever they notice a change in me or see me working on myself, they inevitably hear, “Well, Velma says…” Our sessions are always meaningful, and I am incredibly grateful for the time, wisdom, compassion, faith, and honesty she has given me. She has helped me grow in ways that extend far beyond the hour we spend together. Finding a therapist you truly connect with is not always easy. I feel incredibly fortunate that I found Velma. She has made a lasting difference in my life, and I am so appreciative of her.”

“I’ve seen therapists before and so has my husband. But Velma is the only one we both love and feel comfortable and excited about talking to on a weekly basis. She is the best.”

“Working with Ms. Velma has been amazing! She is super reassuring , firm, and is super helpful! I always leave therapy feeling better , hopeful and laughing!”

“Velma is the real deal! She listens intently, understands and respects people, and doesn’t waste time or beat around the bush. I requested a more blunt, straight forward style of therapy and she has given it to me still with compassion and empathy. She has helped me understand myself and my thought process and the root of so many issues that other therapists have failed to even scratch the surface of. Can not recommend her enough”

“She is very respectful and polite but i like how honest she can be. She actually listens to you and shows love. Almost like an aunt who knows what she is doing. I like how she is a believer of god and know the scriptures. my time with her is not long but im learning a lot more about my self and how to live a more positive life.”

“A+++ therapist!”

“Very patient and attentive . She cares and loves what she does and it shows”

“Working with Velma helped me understand my ADHD and the self-sabotage that was holding me back. She’s given me concrete tools and guidance to master how I operate day to day. I’ve made real, lasting progress because of her support. Thank you Velma!”

“She is kind, patient and extremely knowledgeable!”

“Grateful that I have someone that believes in me.”

“Velma has been great so far! We have only participated in three going on for session so we’re just at the information collection stage prior to what I hope looks like some direction and clarity surrounding our issues. So limited interactions and experience to this point but our experience has been nothing but fantastic, loving, caring, and supportive! For as far as we’ve gotten at this point, I would highly recommend the loving guidance of Ms. Velma.”
